Bump for Good info, for Devs and more 
Also note that in the POsts teh opening post is mission Infeltrated out post which drops no salvagables
and Worlds Collide Angles and Sasha does drop salvagables.

I have a question though...
Has anyone done much salvaging in cosmos areas? Are the NPC's in these mission droping Salvagable matterials?

Hey Tuco Santeriia that pretty implsive that when you salvage your scanners have a succesuff salvage on the first try.
That pretty good lvl 3.
Generally mine go though a few cycles before having a successful Salvage.

Actually, I click all 6 units so that they are working at the same time, and in the vast majority of instances where I eventually get a salvage item, the first notice I get is that the salvage attempt was a failure - then I guess one of the other units saves the day and gets a successful salvage. I do get some successes on the first try, but I'd say it's only about 10% of the time I get any salvage materials, and certainly less than 5% out of all the wrecks I salvage.
OK cool had ot say something because as long as you leave the modual on you will eventually get a succesfull salvage. Don't need to have all 5 moduals on one wreak.
My suggestion for time would be to get as many tractor beams as salvages, have oen of each one as many wreaks have your have. If you have only one wreak than sure by all means 5 slavages.
Just telling you because you will not get more materials for having 5 modsuals on one wreak. You just salvage the wreak sooner.
